My most recent freelance project was designing an app for family members to simultaneously schedule events, create tasks for themselves/other family members, and make lists all in one place. The intention of the app is family communication, organization and scheduling.

A large part of this project was research since calendars and scheduling rely on familiarity and ease of use. It was important to see what other designers had done since we didn’t want to re-invent a wheel but still wanted to present family scheduling in a fresh and approachable way. We took cues from scheduling and organization apps already in place such as Google, Trello, Todoist, Asana, iCal and others.

This project was an intense exercise in typography, color and responsive design. Due to the overall intention of the app, everything had to be organized, clear and easy to use while maintaining a fun, usable interface for adults and children.
